Llandudno is Britain's only purpose built seaside resort. Developed during the 19th Century, much of its Victorian Heritage can still be seen today. Since then Llandudno has grown to become North Wales's leading holiday resort with all the facilities today's visitor expects. Amongst its many attractions are beautiful walks, a unique tramway, lively nightlife, safe sandy beaches, and the longest cable car in the U.K. and one of the finest Victorian Piers in Britain. Sporting facilities include two 18 hole golf courses on the West Shore. Llandudno has its 300 metre ski run and Alpine Toboggan run, an indoor swimming pool. In addition there are excellent facilities for sailing and wind surfing around Llandudno and the Conwy estuary, daily pony treks and regular fishing trips. Llandudno is also the premier shopping centre on the North Wales Coast with both specialist shops and multiple stores as well as a fine selection of cafes and restaurants.
